My Lionism Journey

I began my Lionism journey in 1986. Over the years, I was entrusted with various responsibilities and leadership roles, serving the association with dedication and commitment:

During my governorship, the world was facing the pandemic, yet our district carried forward Lionism with resilience. Our District Directory “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinam” was recognized as the Best Directory at Multiple. I had the honor of conducting Lions, Leo & Lioness installations in a single day — a rare achievement acknowledged by Lions International.

For my service, I was awarded the Excellent District Governor Medal. I also had the privilege of sponsoring 3 new Lions Clubs and 1 Leo Lions Club during my term.

In 2021–22, I was appointed Multiple District Treasurer, alongside serving as LCIF Coordinator, where I facilitated contributions of $26,000, bringing in new PMJF and MJF members.

My spouse, PMJF Ln. Harsha Mehta, started her Lionism journey as a Lioness in 1995–96. She contributed actively as:

Family

We are blessed with two sons:

Anand Mehta, married to Hemali Mehta, with one daughter and one son.

Devang Mehta, married to Jayata Mehta, with two daughters.

All are actively engaged in our family business of Import-Export, Daily Newspaper & Exim. I was humbled to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award (2013–14) from District 3232-J and recognition for 40 years of dedicated service in customs and related departments.
