Vision - Eye Donation Received

Lions Club of Gandhidham proudly facilitated the noble *eye donation* of Late Smt. Draupadi Raviprash Jagani, whose family came forward to fulfil her last wish of donating her eyes and giving the gift of sight to others. On 30th August 2026, upon receiving the request from the donor’s family, Lions Club of Gandhidham immediately stepped forward and coordinated the entire process. The eye donation procedure was carried out at Sterling Hospital, Gandhidham, with the support of Dr. Shivani Ahir from J.K. Ayer Hospital and Dr. Surbhi from Sterling Hospital, Gandhidham. Following the successful retrieval, the donated eyes were immediately transported to G.K. General Hospital, Bhuj, in close coordination with Lion Hasmukh Shah of Lions Club of Bhuj, ensuring timely and safe transfer for further processing. This noble initiative reflects the spirit of “Serving with Heart”, where a family’s selfless decision has the potential to bring the light of vision into the lives of others.
