Humanitarian - Free permanent Sewing coaching classes - Inauguration

The Lions Club of Gandhidham successfully inaugurated the *Free Sewing Coaching Classes* on Sunday, 9th August 2026, at the Lions Community Centre, Gandhidham, as part of its permentant community service initiatives for the Lionistic Year 2026–27. The initiative has been undertaken with the objective of promoting *skill development, women empowerment and self-reliance. The three-month training programme will provide participants with practical sewing skills that can support livelihood generation, home-based employment and financial independence*. The programme is an important step towards creating sustainable opportunities for participants by equipping them with a skill that can potentially be developed into a source of income and long-term self-employment. The Club places on record its sincere appreciation to *Neelkanth Group* and *Kutchi Bhanushali Samaj, represented by Lion Meenal Bhanushali*, for their valuable support and contribution towards making this initiative possible. We also express our gratitude to *District Governor Lion Dr. Hardik Mehta and the entire District Governor’s Team* for graciously attending the inauguration ceremony and encouraging the Club’s efforts towards undertaking meaningful and sustainable community service projects. Special appreciation is extended to *Project Chairperson Lion Poonam Tukadiya* for her commitment, coordination and efforts in successfully initiating this programme. The Club also acknowledges the valuable contribution of the *Sewing Tutor* who will be responsible for imparting practical training and guiding the participants throughout the programme. We sincerely thank all *senior Lions members* for their continued guidance and encouragement, and all *Fellow Lions* for their cooperation, dedication and support in making such initiatives possible.
