Donation of Study Materials to Street Children Date: 29/11/2025 Venue: Women Police Station, Howrah A donation of study materials was arranged for a school for street children operated by the Women Police Station, Howrah. These children are mostly homeless and live under bridges, at railway stations, or on footpaths. Under this noble initiative, the children attend morning school where they are provided with a mid-day meal. After school hours, they come to the police station to continue learning their respective subjects. The children are also provided with healthy snacks such as kaju/eggs, followed by dinner, before they return to their places of shelter. This remarkable initiative is led by Inspector Kakoli Ghosh, who started this school with the objective of stopping begging and guiding children towards education and dignity. The children are continuously taught the importance of self-respect and are encouraged not to beg. We donate study materials including notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, along with chocolates and snacks for the children. It was truly inspiring to witness the dedication and compassion of the Women Police team. After their duty they teach these students. Also teacher from aviation ground staff every Saturday teach them English. Reaching there and being a part of this project felt deeply honouring. It is indeed a very noble and meaningful service to society.
